Delicious Witches of Macbeth

June 30, 2016

I don’t walk gangsta’ style, do not even own a gun, don’t really talk trash and certainly do not walk around with my jeans below the waistline.

So, then why do I like rap/hip-hop?

When I couldn’t find any answers around my urban life, I did what most confused professionals like me do. I went to Himalayas to search for that crucial answer, the missing piece that had wrecked my life beyond repair! The icy mountains were of NO help. I tell you this whole Himalayan thing is overrated.

So, I packed my bags and on my way back to US I had this song -- not rap -- Bang Bang (My baby shot me down) on loop, and, there came the epiphany – It ain’t the style or the shine, it’s the story weaved in rhyme!

Oops, did I just rap? Oh well, I got carried away a bit too much there, huh!

Anyhow, now that I am all sorted, why don’t you try rhyming this sweet little poem – Delicious Witches of Macbeth -- albeit with a bit of a twist and the cliffhanger climax! Also, do not forget to get the rhyme groove on…think Jay-z/holy grail…

This story started young…didn’t know it then…

I believe I was eight may be ten…

Didn’t know love…infa-tu-ation…

Recreation was the only emotion…

Fell in the snow once, I remember, was buried to the neck…

Was kinda fun…didn’t feel like wreck…

A soft pair of hands dug me out…

Kissed through the mouth…and asked “howww?”

Just know this…Saw that girl and got a bit heady…

Rushed to mom…thoughts weren’t steady…

Many moons passed from naked to crescent…

And my life zipped away from the guilt-free nascent

Then one night of brutal winter…

The road froze, flash of ice…

A Beemer, rear wheel I think, slipped and skid by…

The violence of the mishap wasn’t the blood, the shock or death

She lay there with her face buried; the dusty airbag dancing to the witches of Macbeth

Doors cut, rescue done

Carried her in my arms to the safety van

Her eyes fluttered, opened and smiled…and then she said…you still didn’t say how?
